Whilehaus is a business, design and systems studio. This week it opens its presentation: six pieces on the profile and this article, the long version. Here is what it does, in what order, and what you can open today to check it.
What Whilehaus is
It is not a design agency and not a software factory. It is a studio that walks with a business from understanding it to building the systems that hold it up, and the three things are thought through in the same conversation.
Almost every request comes in through a small door: a logo, a website, showing up on Google. That door is fine. Behind it there is always a business, and that is where the work begins.
Why brand and system come out of the same conversation
A print shop makes the logo, a site builder makes the page, bookings stay in a notebook. Each piece works on its own and none of them fits the others.
Buying in parts is expensive in a way that never shows up on an invoice.
The market is split in two and almost nobody crosses over: studios that do brand without systems, factories that do systems without brand. Whilehaus works at the crossing. Identity, presence and systems are decided together, so there is no handover between vendors and no pieces that fail to fit.

Before doing, understand
The work starts by mapping the business, not by picking colours. Phase 01 is a one or two hour meeting to understand how it sells today, what it lacks, and in what order it makes sense to do things. It is delivered at no charge, and the map is written down and stays yours, whether you hire us or not.
It is the method and also the filter.
Whoever cannot tell how they work today is not a client yet.
The five phases, in order
The catalogue is published at whilehaus.com. Each phase can be taken on its own or with the others, and none starts before the previous one leaves something written.
- 01 Consulting. Before doing, understand.
- 02 Analysis. Market, needs, opportunities.
- 03 Business and Strategy. Plan, rhythm and roadmap.
- 04 Identity and Design. Concept, brand and presence.
- 05 Systems and Technology. What holds the business up.

Only in 04 does the look appear, and it comes out of what was understood before.
Roles, not titles
Behind it there are independent professionals joined by craft: software architecture, art direction, business strategy, product, marketing and content, data and AI. Less structure, more craft.
The team does not come pre-assembled: it is put together for the project that comes in. And there is one representative in charge of the whole journey: they take the first message, coordinate the work and answer for the delivery.
What exceeds the scale is referred on, by name, not taken.
What you can open today
All three of the studio's own products are in production and open without asking anyone for permission.
- Whallet. Multi-currency personal finance, with a connected agent.
- Markery. The brand as a system: manuals, documents and content, with a connected agent.
- Micro. Standalone tools, no sign-up and free.
They came out of the same conversation: what they had to do was understood first, then they were given an identity and the system that holds them up. The studio's own brand manual lives inside Markery, which is at once the deliverable and the system that sustains it.

Work done inside agencies belongs to whoever commissioned it.
What is not promised
That you will sell more. Nobody can guarantee that.
What is promised is what gets delivered and can be checked: the base you need to go out and sell it, working.
One conversation. Every stage.
